Ready to change your office environment for the beautiful San Antonio Zoo? We are looking to hire a full-time I.T. Lead for San Antonio Zoo to join our zoo family! You are responsible for leading the I.T. Team and supporting the I.T. Manager in the day-to-day operations. You will provide specialized hardware & software support for individual workstations & networked systems if you enjoy working with computers and have the creative ability to solve unique situations! This is I.T. Lead role may be the right for you!

We are a year-round operation; this position requires a flexible schedule to work weekends, holidays, and occasionally special after-hours assignments. The selected candidates' weekly days off are Monday and Tuesday. The I.T.Lead compensation hourly rate is $18.75.

  • Ability to accept responsibilities and duties with the minimum amount of supervision while leading a team.
  • Ability to use and train staff on the proper use of computers.
  • Strong customer service skills and patience.
  • A+ Certification or equivalent skills, Network+ certification or equivalent skills.
  • Experience maintaining computers.
  • Knowledge of networked systems, including Windows & OS X.
  • Knowledge of network layout, hardware, including an understanding of router configuration.
  • Knowledge of O365, user management, security, backups, as well as network monitoring protocol/systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to troubleshoot & repair individual workstations.
  • Ability to help organize, plan & manage technical projects.
  • Ability to research information via the web for support purposes
  • Install/maintain cabling. Requires climbing tall ladders & following all safety protocols.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older with a clean driving record for vehicle operation.
  • Successful candidates must complete a pre-employment National Sex Offender Search, Criminal Background Check, and Drug Screen.
